About

Helloooooo :) My name is Nicole and I am the heart and soul behind Disir Jewellery. My journey here has been a path of discovery and passion. Throughout my life, I've always been crafty, trying my hand at various creative pursuits. However, it wasn't until I discovered the art of the lost wax method and wax carving in 2018 that I truly found my calling. Learning I have ADHD helped me understand my eclectic journey, and now, I’ve found a craft that keeps my creativity flourishing without looking back!

Every piece I create is meticulously handmade. I start with carving intricate designs in a specific type of wax for this method, which I then send to a casting house in Birmingham where the designs are transformed into beautiful sterling silver pieces. This method ensures that each item is unique and crafted with care.

Currently, I work exclusively with sterling silver, which is 100% recycled. Sustainability and slow fashion are deeply important to me. I take great care to ensure that my materials are sourced responsibly, as I believe in creating beautiful jewelry that also respects the planet.

When you wear my jewellery, I want you to feel magical. Each piece is infused with my heart and soul, crafted with the utmost love and care. I feel a sense of joy and excitement with every order I receive, and I want my customers to feel that same joy when they wear my creations. My hope is that my jewelry becomes a cherished part of your collection, something you can keep and treasure forever.

Thank you for being a part of this journey. Let's create something beautiful together!

The Name

In Norse mythology, a dís (Old Norse: [ˈdiːs], denoting a "lady", with the plural form being dísir [ˈdiːsez̠]) is considered a feminine deity, ghost, or spiritual being connected to the concept of Fate. These dísir possess the ability to exhibit both benevolent and antagonistic tendencies towards human beings. Furthermore, it is worth noting that dísir often assume the role of protective spirits for the various Norse clans.
